LICENSING AGREEMENT
-------------------
You may use this program for a 10 day trial period. Should you find this
program useful, I would appreciate it if you registered it. If you do, I
will send you the latest release, without the shareware notices on the
screen and reports. Registration is a mere $20, which should be sent in
US funds to the address at the end of this file.
You can freely distribute unmodified copies of PAFNAMES (the version with
the shareware notices), provided there are no charges for the distribution
(other than for copying disks and postage) and that you include this
PAFNAMES.DOC file with PAFNAMES.EXE
WHAT IS PAFNAMES?
-----------------
This program was written because I found that as my PAF files got larger
and larger, I would always be looking for record numbers on several
different reports. PAFNAMES provides concise information about each
person in your PAF files, along with their spouses and their parent. It
will also include (if you specify) the married names of females in your
PAF files (this is *great* for research).
PAFNAMES works with PAF version 2.x files. It prints reports on letter
size paper.
HOW DO YOU USE PAFNAMES?
------------------------
Simply copy PAFNAMES.EXE to the subdirectory where your PAF data files are
located. Then, from the DOS prompt, enter PAFNAMES. You will be asked if
you want to include married names. Simply press Y or N. If you choose to
include them, your report will be considerably longer than without the
married names (but it will be *much* more complete).
WHAT ARE THE LIMITATIONS OF PAFNAMES?
-------------------------------------
There are very few known limitations. But, there are a few. First,
PAFNAMES assumes you are using an Epson-compatible printer attached to the
parallel port. That's it (that I know about).
